Free Music Festivals in London for 2026
Live music, dancing, community celebrations and summer days out — without the festival ticket price. Here are the free events we have been able to verify for London and just beyond.
A quick note before you set off: free does not always mean completely ticketless. Some events recommend registration, and programmes can change. Always check the organiser’s page before travelling.

The Music Is Black Festival
- 📍Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, E20
- 📅13–14 June, 11–12 July, 22–23 August and 12–13 September 2026
- 🎟️Free; optional registration may be available
Four open-air festival weekends celebrating the history, creativity and future of Black British music. Each weekend has its own theme, with performances across outdoor stages and accompanying dance activity.

Windrush Homecoming Celebration
- 📍Talacre Gardens, 13 Talacre Road, London NW5 3PH

- 🎟️Free; no ticket required
A vibrant celebration of Camden’s Caribbean heritage and the Windrush generation, with music, performance, carnival colour and plenty for families to enjoy.

Regent’s Park Music Festival
- 📍The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, NW1
- 📅Sunday 21 June to Sunday 20 September 2026
- 🎟️Free outdoor programme
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, this much-loved outdoor series brings 45 bands to the park across the summer. Expect jazz, brass, steel and concert bands, plus selected swing-dancing Sundays and “Jazz on the Broad Walk” Saturdays.
Please note: the separate Music in the Secret Garden concerts from 10–12 July are ticketed and are not part of the free programme.

King’s Cross Summer Sounds

A lively open-air programme blending folk, jazz, soul, classical and indie rock with dance, community choirs and local talent. Evening concerts run from 6.30pm–8.30pm, while Family Sundays run from 1pm–6pm.

Royal Greenwich ParksFest
- 📍Parks and open spaces across the Royal Borough of Greenwich
- 📅Sunday 14 June to Sunday 13 September 2026
- 🎟️Free
ParksFest is a borough-wide summer programme rather than one single event. Families can expect a changing line-up of community celebrations, live entertainment, music and activities in parks across Greenwich.
Individual park dates and programmes are published separately, so check the latest listings before choosing which one to visit.

Hartbeat Music Festival
- 📍Hartham Common, Hertford, SG13 7AH
- 📅Saturday 11 July 2026, 12pm–9pm
- 🎟️Free general admission; optional paid VIP area
This new family-friendly festival brings a full day of live bands, food and festival atmosphere to Hartham Common. It is in Hertford rather than London, but may still be a handy option for North London and Hertfordshire families.
What to bring
A little preparation can make a free festival day much easier — especially with children.
