Planning Your Perfect Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is one of the most special and sentimental days of the year. For our family it is the time to show gratitude for all the hard work, and love our Mother has shown us. I spend a substantial amount of time researching gift ideas and nice places to go.

  1. The Perfect Venue to Eat

It is essential that Mum puts her feet up and has a break from all domestic duties on Mother’s Day Weekend.

A delicious Sunday lunch will be served at Trent Park Country and every mum will receive a chocolate gift and class of prosecco too. A live Singer will be performing to make the day different and more glamorous.

Delicious Greek food will be served in elegant Thymari Greek Restaurant. There is plenty of choice on the A La Carte Menu and Meze is available too.

The Winchmore are offering a “Glass of Prosecco for Mum” with a sit down meal and we have our usual Menu. As it is on a Sunday a fantastic “Sunday Roast” and “Family Feast” sharing platter will also be on the menu too. The pub is very child friendly so the whole family can relax.

Some of my other favourite glamorous local venues include The Hart Lounge in Southgate, The Royal Chase Hotel in Enfield and Judges Restaurant in Northaw.

  1. A Sentimental Gift

Photographs can provide a gift of memories so purchasing a photography gift voucher or photoshoot could be the most special gift. Mira Photography has a special package this Mother’s Day

Jewellery is also another special and favourable gift idea. Family names engraved on a bracelet is always a hit and HashTag You Lifestyle can do this for you

  1. Something Personal

Pretty Glitter Frames provide a range of personalised products. Our favourites include

Mother’s Day cake boards that can be personalised with any wording, Glitter Handle Mugs and Floral 3D Box Frames that can have any chosen photo and wording.

You also have the opportunity leave a message on a sign this Mother’s Day. Studio Jacqueline creates unique handmade personalised signs, from recycled pallet wood.

The Favour Godmother is making personalised sweet and chocolate gifts for mums with a sweet tooth. Boxes, vases, wine glasses, and mugs are all available

Personalised messages on clothing for little ones to wear is always a sweet idea too.

  1. Flowers

Flowers always make ladies smile and Oakwood Florist can create a bouquet with your desired colours, style and budget. Flowers can be delivered to your door, but this florist is situated in a stunning Tea Room, if you prefer to pop in treat mum to Tea and Cake. Beautiful plants, gifts and cards are also available to purchase in the shop too.

  1. Pamper Time

Pamper time, beauty and holistic treatments is something Mum’s forget to book for themselves. Blue Lotus Massage can visit mum at home and provide a relaxing treatment. Massage is a great way to relieve stress, both physical, mental and emotional. It also has helps to reduce pain and stiffness whilst promoting good circulation, a key element to efficiently functioning organs.

Abbie’s Hair have double trouble deals for a whole week to celebrate Mother’s Day. Ladies will love a cut, blow-dry or treatment in lovely salon.

If treatments are hard to plan, why not purchase some luxurious products instead. Tessa Stevens have a fantastic range including Environ, Neal’s Yards products are high quality and gentle and The Jungle Shack have created a stunning hair pamper hamper.

We have plenty more ideas on North London’s Family platform Sophia’s Diary. Check out our website for more ideas, and purchase a discount card to save money from local businesses . Love Andrea xxxx
